TIME TRAVEL - VBS 2011



Time Travel was the theme of the 2011 Vacation Bible School at Hillside Christian Church.

t was "Back To The Future" all over again as the time machine took us to a different period of Biblical time so that we could meet and interact with some pretty famous people from the Bible. We met Peter who clutched an innertube around his waist as he told us about walking on the water. We met the three "Mary's" and each one told us about the Jesus they knew and how he offers forgiveness to all of us. We also met the mother and boy who provided a meager lunch and then saw Jesus miraculously multiply the fish and bread until there was enough to feed 5,000 people with food to spare! There were lots of other people and stories, all helping us learn more about Jesus Christ and the salvation he offers to us. Our mission challenge this year was to raise money to send to The Waldren Family in Russia to help them buy a car. We reached our goal, with the girls raising the most money. The plan was that the losing side would get slimed, but when the girls and boys BOTH wanted to get slimed...we were happy to accommodate!
