Date Sermon Title Description
January 29, 2012 Today or Tomorrow? Time is not a problem for God. We humans have other issues with it though. We save it, spend it, waste it, wish it would go faster, slower, and sometimes just stop. Today is tomorrow in waiting, so what are Christians to do with "Today"?
January 22, 2012 A New Soul If we are going to love God with our souls, and hearts, and minds, what exactly are we talking about? Today we will look into the Word and learn how to tap into God's plan for using our hearts, minds and souls to love Him with our whole being as He designed.
January 15, 2012 A New Mind A new resolution, and a new heart lead to a new mind. As Jesus transforms us spiritually, He opens our minds to the possibility of learning a new way to think about everything. This new view on using our brains makes some pretty amazing things within our grasp if we let God renew our minds.
January 8, 2012 A New Heart Do people ever really change? Much of our Christian life is about right behavior. But what about our hearts? God promises that He is able to give us "a new heart". The New Testament is full of examples of those who accepted Christ and demonstrated real transformation in their lives. It begins with "A New Heart".
January 1, 2012 A New Resolution? Any time is a good time for Christians to assess where they are in their spiritual lives and aim higher; that is to be more like Jesus. We may not finish the job in the next year, but we can make progress we can see and praise God for it!
December 18, 2011 Underestimating God People will always have problems coming to grips with God's Power. Perhaps, like Joseph and Mary, what He says is so far beyond our abilities we just can't grasp it. Skeptics may have their uninformed reasons to cause them to doubt, but what about us?
December 11, 2011 Seeing God at Work Today we will examine some of the things God was up to while preparing the way for Jesus' birth in the obscure village of Bethlehem. If we look around today we too can see God working in both big and small ways in our lives and the lives of others. Are you looking?
December 4, 2011 Dare to Look For Hope For centuries Israel dared to hope for the promised Messiah. God kept His promise of sending a Savior, but it was over 400 years after He last spoke to the people. Some gave up, but some who kept believing saw Jesus, the Messiah. They dared to hope.
November 27, 2011 Faithful in Our Blessings Now that we have had a chance to be thankful and examine the ways we are blessed, maybe now would be a good time to run down the list of blessings...even the small ones...and ask God what His idea for them is. The Bible tells us plainly that He equips His people for the work He has for them and that He loves to bless those who love Him. How can we make the most of His blessings?
November 20, 2011 Faithful in Thanksgiving The world today is choking on its own selfishness. There is little sense of being content, blessed, or at peace. A thankful, contented heart is the result of opening our eyes to the blessings that come from above.
November 13, 2011 How The Helper Helps From the Bible we know that Jesus promised believers that the Holy Spirit would speak to us and act on His behalf. Today we will look at how He does His work and some of the tools He uses. It is for our own benefit and to God's glory that we allow Him to complete His work in us.
November 6, 2011 Which Spirit? Last week we began looking into the work and nature of the Holy Spirit in our Christian lives. If we listen to His testimony and obey His instruction, the Holy Spirit will be what Jesus said He would be to us. Will we choose to walk by the Spirit and learn from Him?
October 30, 2011 Which Spirit? Even if you don't believe in the Holy Spirit the Bible describes, you can be a "spiritual" person. Some versions of the scripture even call God's Spirit "The Holy Ghost". We Christians may get a little mystical in our talk when asked about the role of God's Spirit in our lives. Which spirit is at work in you?
October 23, 2011 The World Series of Souls The World Series of Baseball is a struggle between two great forces in sports. "The World Series of Souls" is an even greater struggle, but it is between Good and Evil. It is the most important struggle in life because it is for eternity, and the trophy is your soul.
October 16, 2011 Laborers in the Harvest Jesus sent out the twelve apostles to spread the good news about the kingdom of heaven. He knew that the job of telling and showing the world was more than any one person could do physically. Pray for laborers to help with the harvest.
October 9, 2011 The Bountiful Life If you look back over the past, do you see more blessings or problems? The inner life of a Christian is not controlled by what happens on the outside. We can choose to count the blessings, or the losses. It is up to us.
October 2, 2011 The Plan...For The Future Whoever heard of having a plan for the past? The very existence of planning implies a future state where our plans either work or they don't. God's plan for us works the same way. He accepts us where we are and looks ahead to what we will become if we obey His plan. Before the world was made God planned to save people from sin through Jesus Christ...and it works.
September 25, 2011 The Plan...For A Savior When people look at the idea of "A Savior", they come up with many questions and objections. Fortunately, God the Father has the answers and He is the only one who does. What questions do you have?
September 18, 2011 The Plan...For Growing Up Have you ever been told to "grow up" or "act like an adult"? Our Heavenly Father not only tells us to "grow up", but He gives us the means to do so. He expects us to grow to be like His Son, Jesus. Unless there is a problem, children do grow up. The same should be true for Christ followers as well. After all, who wants to stay in the crib from now on?
September 4, 2011 The Plan...For Righteousness The only kind of righteousness you will hear much about these days is the selfish kind. God is perfectly righteous and this is the only standard of behavior He can accept in people. That standard is God's own and He has always had a plan for us to live in it.
August 21, 2011 Guest Speaker Our guest speaker today is Greg Hafer of Ozark Christian College. Greg shared with us a sermon out of the book of I Kings. Listen now and find out how King Ahab's pride and selfishness determined his own fate.
August 14, 2011 The Plan God had a plan for His people in Jeremiah's time, and He has a plan for us today. We have seen Him fulfill more of His plan by sending Jesus to give His life as our Savior. He has plans for each of us that reach into eternity. Let's learn to live by His perfect plan.
August 7, 2011 Of Debts & Deficits Most people are aware of the "Debt Ceiling" discussion going on in Washington D.C. in the past few weeks. The love of money and power is too strong a drug for politicians to be trusted with. This is actually a minor problem compared to the drug of sin. God's plan of salvation came to be to help mankind deal with its addiction to sin. How are you doing with yours?
July 31, 2011 Prior Knowledge This heat seems like it is going to last forever. We learn to take precautions ie. drink lots of water, limit your exposure, take frequent breaks, etc. It's just common sense...right? How about some common sense about life until Jesus' second coming? Since we don't know when it will be, but we do know it will happen, how then should we live?
July 24, 2011 Jesus Who? More and more churches are choosing to leave the name of our Savior out of theirs. The reasons given are confusing and sad. Some are also doing away with the empty cross of Calvary. It just stands for something too ugly for civilized people to behold. What do you think of His name and His cross?!
July 17, 2011 Vital Choices Since we are able to choose whether or not to do God's will we occasionally make the wrong choice. It is clear that God has a plan for people and their sin. The answer is in the life and sacrificial death of Jesus Christ. We have access to God's forgiveness through Him and our faith in and obedience to Him. The choice is yours!
July 10, 2011 Time Travelers The whole idea of time travel has fascinated people for centuries. Sadly, the best we can do is read about the past or guess the future. God's Word reveals the past and guides us to the future. It gives us the "Big Picture" in a way no time machine possibly can, and it is true and totally reliable.
July 3, 2011 Freedom "Help Wanted" is a sign you don't see too often these days. But there are many who are looking for help. Needs of all kinds are everywhere in people's lives. When it seems like we have many things pressing in on us, we may forget that our most important need is spiritual strength. "Help Wanted" is "Help Found" in Jesus Christ our Lord.
June 26, 2011 Help Wanted The yearning for freedom is built into every human. People rebel against their oppressors and risk everything to be free. Political and spiritual freedom are from God. Political and spiritual oppression are from Satan himself. We are free because of Jesus and the freedom He bought for all on the cross. Let Freedom Reign!!!.
June 5, 2011 Deficits The average person eventually discovers that if you spend more than you make, you end up broke. Far more critical eternally, is a life that has a spiritual deficit. Spiritual deficits are just like the national debt...they grow all by themselves. It requires action on your part to keep this from happening.
May 29, 2011 "Signs" You can hardly go anywhere without seeing signs giving information or warning you about something. Many are confused about "signs from God" and what they may mean. A careful look at the Bible reveals that we miss many of them while looking for the spectacular.
May 22, 2011 Who Have You Told? Because Dale Day is on vacation this week, we had the pleasure of hearing a message from Dr. Woody Wilkinson, Professor at Ozark Christian College. We hope you enjoy Woody's sermon on Christ's return.
May 15, 2011 It's Up To Us Now Jesus instructed his apostles to "Go, make disciples..." everywhere. If it was up to you, how would you choose to obey this command? What would your church be like? How would you reach those who are not like yourself? He will always be with us, but it is up to us to go.
May 8, 2011 Her Children Rise Up and Call Her Blessed Our world has constantly changing images of what the "Ideal Woman" should be. A truly wise woman has learned that in this world, the only place to stand is Jesus Christ. His love and patience endure till he returns. Women who know this and live in it are a vital source of strength to everyone in their path of life.
May 1, 2011 Easter Sunday Last Sunday we celebrated one of the most important factors in all our thinking about the Lord. We serve a risen Savior! This profound miracle shaped the lives and faith of the early Christians, much like the resurrection. What does Jesus' ascension mean to you?
April 24, 2011 Easter Sunday Today's sermon is a dramatic reading of the story of Christ's crucifixion and resurrection. Please excuse any skips or gaps in the recording where we had to remove music due to our copyright agreement. Hope you enjoy the service as you take time to reflect on the incredible sacrifice made on our behalf...and the fact that our Savior overcame death and the grave!
April 17, 2011 Hope In The Resurrection One of the major parts of the faith the early Christians shared was their understanding of how Jesus' resurrection changed life in the here and now, as well as eternity. We have the promise of eternal life with the Lord and the encouragement of God's Holy Spirit in every moment we live on earth. What a blessed hope He has given to all who will walk in faith with Him!
April 10, 2011 Resurrection Realities The resurrection of Christ. Our lives and eternities have been changed forever because we have believed the witness of those who were there, saw everything and have recorded it for us. Some will look at the resurrection and not be changed. What does the resurrection mean to you? A debatable story, interesting reading, or life changing?
April 3, 2011 Between Times The Bible is full of big stories like the flood, creation, Jesus' birth, death, resurrection...and finally, His return. We need to learn all we can about these, while realizing that our daily personal faith is the vital issue for us to attend to right now.
March 27, 2011 Sin, Love, Forgiveness Jesus came to earth as an answer to the sin in God's creation. Jesus was innocent, but died bearing the penalty due all humanity. How much have you been forgiven? Does your love reflect it? Big forgiveness calls for big love.
March 20, 2011 Labor Pains The Japan earthquake, tsunami, nuclear fears and war. Are these the last days? Are these recent events "signs" or "omens", or just the normal course of history? Does it all mean more than it seems? Is the world listening?
March 13, 2011 Knowing What Time It Is God always knows what time it really is in His plan and in our lives. He has appointed certain things for certain times with an eye toward eternity. The key is for us to learn to live by His timing, not just our own.
March 6, 2011 Time Changes Daylight Savings Time begins next Sunday morning. Where will you put all that extra time you’ve saved? None of us actually knows how much time we have either to save or lose. Fortunately God never wastes any time, or misses an important moment. His timing is always perfect. It was with the coming of Jesus Christ, and it also is in our lives. We can rely on our Timekeeper.
February 27, 2011 Stormy Weather A sure sign of Spring is the mention of “the potential for severe storms in the area”. For some this is exciting, while for others it is scary. We all know that storms come and go in life as well as in our weather. How we handle both says a lot about our walk with our Savior. We know there will be storms, but we also know that our Heavenly Father provides assurance and strength. Do you trust Him?
February 20, 2011 God's Garden There is a reason why seed and bulb packages are labeled with what is inside. We would never expect to get corn from lettuce seed, or rose blossoms from a tulip bulb. Neither should anyone expect to reap a large harvest where little is planted. We need the best seed, good dirt, and careful tending to produce a glorious spiritual harvest in God's garden.
February 13, 2011 (audio problems, please allow 10 to 15 seconds before you start hearing sound) Outrageous Love Too... It is one thing to talk about love, but another to express it. God talks about AND expresses it in a clear demonstration of how we can love too. If we let His example of love "soak in" to our hearts, we'll begin to see how loving as God does changes literally everything in life and beyond.
February 6, 2011 Outrageous Love The word "love" gets thrown around a lot this time of year, especially with Valentine's Day quickly approaching. We know that there are different kinds of love for different situations. When we sing, "Jesus loves me this I know..." what are we really saying? The Bible gives great guidance on this, if we are willing to pay attention.
January 30, 2011 Words Are Powerful! Our guest speaker today was Greg Hafer, from Ozark Christian College. I hope you enjoy his message as much as we did.
January 23, 2011 Do You Want Fries With That? When you pull up to the drive-thru and place your order, you expect to get what you ordered. When a car pulls up and the people inside don't know what they want, the line backs up really fast. It would be wise for us to consider what we truly think we want in our relationship with the Savior.
January 9, 2011 Raising Jesus If you were one of the parents of "The Son of God", how would you try to raise the young lad? The gospel of Luke gives us a brief look at some of the challenges they faced.
January 2, 2011 Let Go Life is full of choices. We make them all the time. If you go through the buffet line, you have to make lots of them. When Jesus taught during His earthly ministry, He made the choice really vivid. Why do People try to have it both ways? The truth is that we only fool ourselves if we think we can.
December 26, 2010 The Time In Between
December 19, 2010 God Specializes in the Impossible When you come face to face with God, you find out that God specializes in impossibilities!
December 12, 2010 Looking For A Savior - Part II If things go our way, we eventually find what we are looking for. We don't usually search for things we don't want or don't intend to find. At Jesus' birth, not everybody was looking for a Savior, King or even prophet. They were looking for "The Messiah" to come as a conqueror and vindicate them. They didn't expect to find Him in a manger in the obscure village of Bethlehem.
December 5, 2010 Looking For A Savior The "wisemen" who came looking for Jesus when He was born are interesting to say the least. We don't know for sure what motivated them to make their journey, but we know they were looking for something. Could it be a Savior? What do you think people are looking for today?
November 28, 2010 Black Friday Did you notice how quickly things shifted from "being thankful" to "give me more"? It was almost like people got up from their Thanksgiving feast and went straight to get in line at the store. What do we really think we are buying? What have you really gained if you walk away with the best deal out there?
November 21, 2010 Necessary Thanksgiving Growing up we may have been told, "Now say thank you." We know that some situations call for expressions of gratitude, whether from the heart, or not. Real thankfulness always comes from the heart and blesses the giver and receiver alike. There is a huge difference between social courtesy and genuine thankfulness. No heart can be forced to be what it is not. How is yours?
November 14, 2010 Rightly Thankful Christians are uniquely equipped to have the "attitude of gratitude". We are truly blessed when we belong to Jesus. Being in Him puts us in the right relationship with God to be in step with His outpouring of goodness. This week and next we will share some of the truths from the Bible about being "Rightly Thankful". If you want to grow in joy, grow in your Thankfulness.
November 7, 2010 Your Spiritual Storehouse Everyone knows what a "hoarder" is, and it isn't a pretty picture. Yet people never say that they have too close of a walk with Jesus, or that they have too much joy and peace in their lives. Our spiritual storehouse is the vault for investment of time and resources while we live each day. How's your storehouse?
